Background

nftfi
  • NFTfi developed an innovative solution in a growing market. One of the first movers into the “NFT meets DeFi” space, an industry we strongly believe will keep growing over the coming years.
  • There was already a working v1 providing quantitative evidence of market demand. And a fantastic team.
Bootnode
  • BootNode was recommended and introduced to NFTfi by one of its investors.
  • The teams shared the vision, mindset, and company culture.
  • The skills complementation and synergy were right. NFTfi was thrilled with BootNode's engagement model as an investor.

quote

Working with BootNode was key to us rolling out v2 of our protocol. The team is extremely experienced with a broad skillset. What’s even more impressive is that since they are also investors in the projects they work with they are laser-focused on producing maximum value at all times. Having them on the cap table was one of the best decisions we made.

Engagement

Solution

  • BootNode's Solidity and dApp engineers helped design and develop NFTfi v2 and improved v1 during four months while v2 was under development. Our BA and PM helped coordinate a rapidly growing team and set a sound foundation for management processes.

Contributions

  • Our team worked full-time for four months, where we helped design, develop and test the new version of the protocol and dApp. We also helped the team grow by setting up processes to scale in orders of magnitude. Our business team also contributed with connections to valuable stakeholders. Lastly, BootNode is helping shape the protocol's token mechanics.

Outcome

  • V2 was built in record time, giving the team time to add several extra features and run experiments contributed by the BootNode team’s ingenuity. Some experiments proved to be a unique competitive advantage in the future. Also, there was additional time for testing and auditing.
  • The dApp was upgraded and re-architected to support v2 without significant user-facing changes.
  • Valuable know-how on software development processes and organization-wide best practices.
